EXCLUSIVE — Celtic have dished Rangers a MASSIVE TERRIBLE NEWS out of the blue after Big Update coming out of Parkhead hits the Scottish Media

Celtic are now in a strong position to sign Elijah Just ahead of Old Firm rivals Rangers this summer.

Celtic in pole position to land Elijah Just:

Once the celebrations settle down, there’s plenty of business for the Scottish Premiership champions to deal with. It was far from a comfortable title triumph.

Celtic were forced to come from behind and stun Hearts on the final day as one of the most dramatic title races Scotland has witnessed in years played out.

It’s a scenario the Hoops would rather avoid repeating, which is why attention has already shifted towards the summer transfer market. And while names such as Kasper Hogh have grabbed headlines recently, it may yet be a Scottish Premiership standout who arrives.

According to Football Insider, Celtic are now favourites to sign Just ahead of Rangers this summer. The Motherwell winger is a leading target for the Hoops as they focus on restoring consistency and creativity in attack.

Although Rangers are also monitoring the player, it is Celtic who reportedly have the upper hand. Whether a move will have to wait until after Just’s World Cup commitments with New Zealand remains to be seen.

Former Premier League chief Mick Brown discussed the winger’s future with Football Insider, saying: “Elijah Just is exactly the type of player Celtic are looking at.

“It’s difficult for clubs in Scotland to find players, it’s not like in the Premier League where you can go and get anybody for anywhere with the money involved. Celtic need to use their budget wisely, and signing the best players in Scotland is the most reliable way to do that, because you know how they perform in the league.

“A lot of the time, players can struggle to get to grips with the style of play, so when somebody like Just comes along and shows he can perform, it puts him on their radar.”

Why Celtic should move for Elijah Just:

When it comes to proven performers, Just appears to be an ideal option for Celtic this summer. He already understands what it takes to succeed at the top level in Scotland, having contributed 15 goals across all competitions for Motherwell this season.

At a time when Celtic’s attack has looked inconsistent for all the wrong reasons, they could benefit from taking a calculated gamble on someone like the 26-year-old.

Daizen Maeda could also benefit massively from having a creator like Just alongside him. Although the forward rediscovered his form at the perfect moment this season, there’s no denying his overall output declined. The addition of Just could help elevate that once again.
