He was sentenced to one day in jail on both offences, with the sentences served concurrently, and was credited with one day already served. He was also fined $1,150.
The case has now been resolved through the court process, although the NFL has confirmed that it is aware of the incident and will review it under the league’s personal conduct policy.
The 49ers, meanwhile, have also declined to provide further comment on the matter.
For Rangers supporters, the key point is that York is not listed among the club’s board members, despite the wider connection between his 49ers ownership group and the Ibrox club.
