Leeds United Women have continued their preparations for the new campaign with another promising addition to their squad.
The Whites have confirmed the arrival of highly-rated midfielder Abi Coley, who becomes another of four new recruits brought in during the summer transfer window.
The 19-year-old makes the move from Doncaster Rovers Belles after developing through the South Yorkshire club’s youth system and establishing herself as an important first-team player.
Coley’s move to Leeds represents another step forward in a young career that has already included experience at academy and senior level.
Coley returns after Leicester spell
Coley first made her senior debut for Doncaster during the 2022/23 campaign when she was just 16 years old.
Her early breakthrough highlighted the potential she possessed, although she subsequently moved away from the club the following summer after joining Leicester City Women’s academy setup.
Her spell with the Foxes lasted a year before she returned to Doncaster, where she continued her development with the Belles.
Upon returning, Coley made 11 appearances for the first team before taking another significant step forward during the most recent campaign.
The midfielder featured 26 times and finished the season with six goals.
One of those strikes came against Leeds themselves in March 2026, meaning the new signing has already found the net against the club she will now represent.
Leeds secure promising young midfielder

Coley’s progression has also earned her recognition on the international stage.
The teenager has represented the England Colleges football squad, adding another notable achievement to her developing career.
Leeds will now hope to provide her with the environment to continue that progression as she begins a new chapter at Garforth.
Her age also fits the club’s desire to develop promising young talent while strengthening the squad ahead of the new campaign.
Having already gained valuable senior experience despite still being only 19, Coley arrives with a foundation that Leeds will hope can translate quickly to her new surroundings.
Another addition for Leeds Women

The signing of Coley represents another piece of business for Leeds United Women this summer as they continue to reshape their squad.
She joins as one of four additions made during the current transfer window, giving the team further depth and another young option in midfield.
Coley’s journey from making her senior debut at 16 to becoming a regular contributor for Doncaster and earning England Colleges recognition demonstrates the progress she has made in recent seasons.
Now, she has the opportunity to take another significant step with Leeds.
Everyone at Leeds United Women has welcomed Coley to the club, with supporters now able to look forward to seeing the teenager in action at Garforth.
