NafisaKalvin Phillips is set for another chapter in Yorkshire after deciding to return to a club where he quickly made a strong impression despite a frustrating first spell.
The midfielder has endured a difficult few years since leaving his boyhood club, with injuries and limited opportunities preventing him from rediscovering the form that once made him one of England’s most highly-rated midfielders.
There was a time when Phillips was one of the most recognisable players in English football.
His performances in midfield earned him regular England recognition, while his reputation continued to grow during his hugely successful spell at Leeds United.

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder was particularly keen to bring Phillips back after seeing first-hand the influence he had around the squad.

“Since the first day Kalvin walked through the door here, he instantly ticked the boxes in terms of personality and character, both on the field and behind the scenes and he offers more experience in a crucial area of the pitch.”
