That wait is now over.
Celtic FC Women have officially confirmed the signing of Casey Howe on a two-year contract ahead of the upcoming campaign.
The exciting winger arrives in Glasgow following an impressive spell across both Ireland and England, having built a reputation as one of the brightest attacking talents to emerge from Northern Ireland in recent years.
Throughout her career to date, Howe has represented clubs including Glentoran, while also enjoying successful periods with Sligo Rovers and Athlone Town.
Her performances eventually earned her a move across the Irish Sea, joining WSL2 outfit Nottingham Forest in 2024.
The forward then spent the second half of the 2025/26 season on loan at Wolves, helping the club secure promotion to WSL2.
At international level, Howe has been involved with Northern Ireland since the age of 17 and recently featured in World Cup qualifying fixtures against Switzerland and Turkey last month.
Speaking after completing the move, Howe expressed her excitement at joining the Scottish club.
