After weeks of planning behind the scenes, the Scottish champions are beginning to strengthen their squad with players capable of making an immediate impact while also fitting into the club’s long-term vision.
With ambitions of challenging for every major honour once again, the Hoops have been determined to add greater quality and depth before the new season gets underway. Supporters have been eagerly awaiting official announcements, particularly after several transfer links emerged over recent weeks involving players from across the UK and Europe.
Now, Celtic have confirmed another piece of business has been completed.
The Parkhead club have officially announced the signing of Casey Howe from Nottingham Forest, with the Northern Ireland international unveiled on the club’s official website after putting pen to paper on a two-year contract.
The winger becomes Celtic FC Women’s latest addition ahead of the new campaign after impressing during spells in both Ireland and England.
Howe joined Nottingham Forest in 2024 before spending the second half of last season on loan with Wolves, where she helped the club secure promotion to WSL2.
Before making the move to England, the talented attacker built an impressive reputation in Ireland with Glentoran, Sligo Rovers, and Athlone Town, producing a series of eye-catching performances.
The 22-year-old has also represented Northern Ireland at senior international level since the age of 17 and recently featured in World Cup qualifying matches against Switzerland and Turkey, continuing her rapid development on the international stage.
Speaking after completing her move to Celtic, Howe could not hide her excitement.
