NafisaLech Poznan are reportedly trying to renegotiate the option-to-buy clause for Celtic winger Luis Palma after an impressive loan spell in Poland.
The Honduran international joined the Polish side on loan with an option to make the move permanent for around £3.5million.
However, despite Palma’s strong performances this season, Lech are said to be unwilling to pay that fee in full. It would see them break their transfer record by almost double.
According to Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph, Poznan have already had a couple of bids rejected by Celtic, but discussions between the clubs are ongoing and talks are now said to be advancing over a deal worth closer to £2.6m.
Palma has enjoyed a productive season in Poland after falling out of favour at Celtic.
The winger has recorded nine league goals and six assists for Lech Poznan, while also adding two goals and four assists during their Europa Conference League run.
Those numbers have helped restore his reputation after a challenging second season in Glasgow where regular game time became increasingly restricted.
Celtic signed Palma from Aris Thessaloniki in 2023 and he made an instant impact during his first few months at the club, particularly under Brendan Rodgers, with several key goals and assists.
But form and consistency became an issue before his eventual loan departure.
