NafisaRangers have been handed an allocation of 2,268 tickets for the derby clash with Celtic at Parkhead.
The Ibrox side will be supported by a little over 2,000 fans next Sunday.
An update from the Rangers Supporters Liaison Officer has confirmed the precise number of tickets received following earlier concerns that away supporters might not be admitted to the stadium.
There had been a dispute surrounding the away allocation, with Celtic withholding tickets while seeking assurances that none would be passed on to the Union Bears.
Rangers initially pushed back against that demand, with the issue referred to an independent SPFL sub committee for review.
The outcome of that hearing brought no alteration to the situation, with a ruling that Celtic’s request, made on safety grounds, would stand. It was also determined that Rangers would only receive an allocation if a guarantee was provided that no Union Bears members would be issued tickets.
Rangers subsequently accepted their share, now confirmed as 2,268, after the Union Bears group volunteered to step aside from the fixture to allow other supporters to attend.
A Rangers statement on the situation read: “We are deeply disappointed with the SPFL’s decision to accept the ultimatum placed upon our ticket allocation for the game on 10 May.
“It sets a concerning precedent with potentially lasting consequences for the league and match-going fans, cutting across the spirit of the competition and disregarding the established agreement on away allocations between clubs.
“In light of the SPFL’s decision, the Union Bears have volunteered that they do not wish to be included within the club’s ticket allocation for this fixture.
“Our club, our supporters and the reputation of Rangers will continue to be defended robustly while the Scottish FA’s independent process regarding the events on 8 March runs its course.
“This is a defining match at a crucial stage of the season, and it is important that Rangers supporters are present to back their team. We will therefore take up the allocation available to us.
“Our focus now turns to the matches ahead, on the field and off it, working with all relevant stakeholders to ensure they are delivered safely, fairly and professionally.”
