SHOCKER — Abdul Fatawu on the verge of Signing for this Italian club for £25million

This is a rather shocking and concerning prospect for Leicester City’s Blue Army to face on New Year’s Eve. The top Fox on the roster is inevitably going to be linked with leaving Filbert Way, unfortunately.

That is a biannual (transfer windows happen twice a year, of course) worry that supporters of the football club have had to come to terms with. Although major January exits are far less common.

Under the late, great owner Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, the approach felt less stressful as evolution and progress were consistently achieved. We actually overperformed more often than not.

The practice of selling a leading star (or multiple key players) during the summer has become far more burdensome under his son and heir, chairman Khun Top (Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha).

Should Top, Jon Rudkin, and their The King Power International Group advisors determine that LCFC must part ways with a standout player in the upcoming offseason, many of us would accept the decision.

We would do so with the vision and security of the East Midlands outfit’s future in mind. Yet letting someone like Abdul Fatawu leave when the January transfer window is open would be a very tough proposition for the ownership.

An unlikely claim has emerged that Leicester City man Abdul Fatawu is on the verge of joining Italian side Napoli.

If we go by reports from July and August, Fatawu had been tracked by newly promoted Premier League club Sunderland. Thankfully, City held firm and retained the thrilling Ghanaian talent.

It would come as no shock if other EPL clubs, such as Bournemouth (seeking to replace Antoine Semenyo), are also showing strong interest. Everton have likewise been linked with a serious pursuit of the winger, who is dazzling on his day.

Even Chelsea might be considering a swoop for Fatawu; I wouldn’t be surprised. Yet this outlet’s claim that a move to SSC Napoli is imminent remains debatable:

“Fatawu set for historic Serie A move: Italian giants prepare €25 million bid
SSC Napoli are gearing up for a bold push in the winter transfer window, with plans underway to land a new attacking option valued at €25 million. According to Fichajes, the Italian side have identified Abdul Fatawu Issahaku as a central figure in their January recruitment strategy.” – [Yen News]
