Four athletes are vying to earn their initial Leicester City appearances on Wednesday evening, with up to 10 alterations possible for the Carabao Cup first round.
City manager Marti Cifuentes has acknowledged he might adjust his lineup for the visit to Huddersfield, and he has a history of doing so, having made six switches in the first round last season while leading QPR.
With a larger City roster and more players to assess closely, there’s a chance for nearly the entire starting eleven to be reshuffled.
“We saw in the game on Sunday that I used the five subs,” Cifuentes said. “I’m a big believer in the impact of the bench to decide the game.
“We’ll evaluate and have meetings with the staff. It might be that we make some changes, especially as I want to see all the players.
“And perhaps the game will require different things than what we needed against Sheffield Wednesday.”

Riley Carr arrives from Hertford Town, a club competing in the Southern Football League, situated at levels 7 to 8 in the pyramid.
Carr (16) has previously featured for Leicester, having been evaluated before finalizing his transfer to the club. It will be intriguing to track the development of this young new addition.
