Crystal Palace now increasingly confident of completing transfer done deal for wonderful 24-year old star and he is likely to cost around £30-40 million with personal terms not a problem as he’s open to signing for The Eagles

Crystal Palace are reportedly keen on landing 24-year-old Tottenham forward Brennan Johnson in the months ahead.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, the Eagles are growing increasingly optimistic about securing Johnson’s signature, with a deal expected to be in the region of £30–40 million.

Tottenham forked out £47.5 million to sign Johnson from Nottingham Forest, but his performances have been uneven since arriving in north London.

It is evident that the Welsh international has struggled to meet expectations, and it may be sensible for Spurs to cash in and move forward without him.

The Lilywhites require higher-quality options if they are serious about challenging for major honours, and offloading Johnson to Crystal Palace could suit all parties involved.

Meanwhile, Palace are in need of added quality out wide, particularly following Eberechi Eze’s departure to Arsenal at the beginning of the campaign. Johnson could be viewed as a suitable replacement for the England international.

The attacker will be eager to revive his career and continue competing at the top level, and Crystal Palace could offer him that platform. He would have the chance to perform regularly without the intense scrutiny that comes with playing for one of the league’s elite sides.

Crystal Palace move could be ideal for Johnson:

Oliver Glasner could be the manager to help unlock Johnson’s full potential and get the best out of him. With Crystal Palace currently involved in European competition, they represent an appealing destination for many players.

Johnson possesses the talent to justify a £30–40 million outlay, although it remains to be seen how the situation develops. Crystal Palace are not the only club monitoring his situation, with other Premier League sides also expressing interest.

Tottenham may be best served by accepting a loss and reinvesting in an upgrade. Johnson remains a young player with plenty of time to realise his potential, and a clean slate at Selhurst Park could prove beneficial. Continued spells on the bench at Tottenham are unlikely to help his development. It will be interesting to see whether the two clubs can reach an agreement in the coming months.
