Leicester City have been dealt another setback at the worst possible moment, as teenage full-back Bade Aluko will now serve an automatic one-match suspension after his red card during the 3–0 defeat to Southampton — a week already clouded by the club’s looming FFP/PSR hearing.
It was supposed to be a huge night for the 18-year-old, handed his full debut on the south coast. Instead, it unravelled painfully quickly.
Aluko’s dismissal arrived in just 33 minutes, a harsh reminder of how unforgiving senior football can be for a youngster thrown into a high-pressure environment.
