Wolverhampton Wanderers are nearing the acquisition of Fluminense winger Jhon Arias and have settled on a deal for a fee around £17m, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Wolves might opt to support Vitor Pereira in the summer transfer market after he helped reverse fortunes during the 2024/2025 Premier League season.
The Wanderers appeared to be at risk of relegation under Gary O’Neil, but Pereira stepped in and stabilized the situation, guiding them to safety with ease.
Pereira’s team has already finalized the addition of forward Fer Lopez in the summer window, joining from Spanish club Celta Vigo. Jorgen Strand Larsen has also had his loan transfer converted into a permanent one, but unfortunately, Wolves will be without Rayan Ait-Nouri and Matheus Cunha, who have moved to Manchester City and Manchester United, respectively.

Arias, labeled ‘amazing’ by Transfer Site, delivered an outstanding Club World Cup performance, which may have spurred Wolves to make an official bid.
The 27-year-old offers a flexible option who mainly operates on the right-hand side of the attack. Throughout his career, Arias has also been utilized on the left, through the center as a number 10, and even in a deeper midfield position.
It seems as though Wolves could be poised to complete their third summer acquisition, with a clear emphasis on recruiting players to enhance their output in the final third.
