Harry Gray began the most recent season around the Leeds United first-team environment, which immediately raised expectations among supporters that the youngster could eventually push for a place in the starting XI.
However, during the first half of the campaign, Gray’s involvement was largely restricted to training with the senior squad, while only occasionally being included in matchday squads under Daniel Farke.
In January, the young forward secured a loan move to Rotherham United. It was widely believed that Gray himself was keen on the switch in search of regular senior minutes.
His temporary spell proved mixed, but he still managed to accumulate 20 appearances, finishing with three goals and one assist across the season.
Gray will now be waiting to see what direction Leeds intend to take with him heading into the next campaign.

Wales manager Craig Bellamy recently highlighted Jayden Lienou’s potential after observing him in training sessions. The young defender arrived at Leeds last year but is still waiting for his senior debut.
Daniel Farke did include him in the matchday squad during the closing fixtures of the season, although he did not make an appearance on the pitch.
Leeds are also expected to recruit additional cover for Gabriel Gudmundsson this summer, which could further restrict Lienou’s pathway into the first-team picture.
