NafisaRangers have been handed a strong signal that BK Häcken could be willing to sanction the departure of their highly-rated youngster, Silas Andersen, this summer.
The Denmark U21 international has been catching the eye in the Allsvenskan for over a year now and appears ready to take the next step in his career.
Andersen operates as a defensive midfielder with an eye for goal and a sharp passing range, and is seen as a player who could offer something different to Danny Rohl in the centre of the park.
Andrew Cavenagh has already acknowledged that this summer will be a crucial one for the Bears, who must regroup and rebuild ahead of another push for the Scottish Premiership title.
New recruits will be required to strengthen the squad, and Rangers could be edging closer to landing Andersen following fresh comments from Häcken’s sporting director.

The 21-year-old has continued to develop rapidly in Sweden and has clearly caught the attention of Stig Inge Bjørnebye and the rest of the Gers’ recruitment department.
Häcken sporting director Erik Friberg has been candid about Andersen’s future, admitting a summer exit cannot be ruled out.
Friberg said, as quoted by the Daily Record: “We will sell someone. We will. I can’t promise that Silas will stay. Nothing is clear yet; we’ll see where it goes.”
Gers are monitoring the midfielder closely, with Celtic also expected to challenge Rangers for his signature.
There is also interest from Sporting Lisbon, but these comments could serve as the green light Rangers need to accelerate a deal.
Andersen’s new campaign with Häcken only began in April, and he may not receive the same summer break as most Rangers players if a move to Ibrox materialises.
