Six words.
On their own, they hardly sound like the sort of sentence capable of causing a stir around Ibrox.
But when they are placed alongside a striker’s increasingly uncertain situation, a summer of transfer speculation and a very telling public statement about his future, suddenly those six words look rather different.
There is no confirmed dressing-room fallout.
There is no official transfer request.
And there has been no declaration from the player that he wants to leave Rangers.
Yet something has unquestionably changed.
The player at the centre of the situation has been struggling to establish himself under Derek McInnes, with opportunities becoming increasingly difficult to come by.
He has managed only 40 minutes of football this season, making three substitute appearances while remaining an unused substitute on three further occasions.
Most recently, he was left out of the squad altogether for Rangers’ 1-0 victory over Motherwell.
That would be notable enough.
But the latest development has made supporters look at his situation through a very different lens.
Rather than allowing an agent or football agency to deal with his professional affairs, the Rangers player has now announced that he is taking control of those matters himself.
And he has gone further than simply confirming a change in representation.
He has effectively left the door open for conversations about what comes next.
That is where the speculation begins.
The player is Bojan Miovski.
The Rangers striker has released an official statement confirming that he is currently not represented by any football agent or agency.
For the time being, he says he will personally manage everything relating to his professional career and future.
He wrote:
“I would like to confirm that I am currently not represented by any football agent or agency.
“For the time being, I will personally manage all matters relating to my professional career and future.
“Any enquiries regarding my professional career or future opportunities should be directed exclusively to me personally.
“Thank you for your understanding.”
It is that third paragraph that will probably attract the most attention from Rangers supporters.
Miovski has specifically mentioned “future opportunities” and invited enquiries to come directly to him.
That does not mean he has asked to leave Rangers.
But it certainly does not close the door on the possibility either.
In fact, considering what happened during the closing stages of the transfer window, it is easy to understand why supporters are reading between the lines.
Miovski had been linked with a possible departure from Ibrox before the window closed, but ultimately remained a Rangers player.
He now has three years left on his contract.
So, on paper, there is no immediate need for Rangers to sell.
The bigger issue is whether Miovski is satisfied with his current role.
His numbers so far suggest that he has been nowhere near the regular involvement that a striker would want.
He played only 10 minutes against Falkirk in his most recent appearance before being omitted entirely against Motherwell.
Meanwhile, Rangers have other attacking options available to McInnes.
That creates a rather obvious question.
If Miovski remains on the fringes of the team, could his decision to personally handle his career eventually become important?
It is too early to say.
But the statement undeniably gives him greater control over any conversations surrounding his next move.
If another opportunity emerges, interested parties now know they can approach the player directly.
And if no move is being considered, Miovski has still made his position on representation perfectly clear.
That distinction matters.
There is currently no evidence that the striker has fallen out with McInnes, that he has walked away from the Rangers dressing room or that management are furious with him.
Those would be significant claims that cannot be established from his statement.
What can be established is that Miovski is taking a very hands-on approach to his professional future at a time when his footballing future at Ibrox is becoming increasingly uncertain.
That is why those six words suddenly feel rather significant.
“He’s going to handle it himself.”
For Rangers supporters, the concern is obvious.
Could this be the beginning of the end?
Or is Miovski simply taking control of his career while waiting for his opportunity under McInnes?
For now, only the striker knows exactly what he has planned.
But after making sure potential suitors can contact him directly, he has certainly given Rangers fans another reason to keep a very close eye on what happens next.
