Top Championship Boss Makes Shock Call to Leicester City – Tells Them He’s Taking Over After Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Expected Brutal SACK Following Relegation… Fans Split Over Who It Is

Danny Rohl would be receptive to assuming the managerial role at Leicester City as Ruud van Nistelrooy is anticipated to be dismissed following their relegation.

That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains highly connected within the sport, exclusively informing Football Insider that Rohl is among several managers shortlisted at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester are said to be impressed with the manager’s achievements at Sheffield Wednesday under challenging conditions due to the club’s off-field difficulties.

This follows Brown’s statement to Football Insider that Rohl might depart Sheffield Wednesday amid persistent concerns about Dejphon Chansiri’s ownership.

Wednesday currently hold 12th place in the Championship, having been tipped for relegation after narrowly avoiding it by two points last season.

However, Brown told Football Insider on 28 April that Russell Martin is the frontrunner to become Leicester’s next manager.

Brown told Football Insider on 7 April that Van Nistelrooy will be sacked by Leicester after a calamitous season since his appointment.

Now, the former scout, who has extensive experience working with top-tier managers including Sir Alex Ferguson for over a decade at Man United, has asserted that Rohl would be a suitable replacement for Van Nistelrooy at the King Power.

“Leicester are looking at a number of managers for the role,” he told Football Insider.

“They want to be solid and have a clear direction of where they are aiming to go and how they’re going to get there.

“Russell Martin is a name on their list, Sean Dyche is another, and they’ve also looked at Danny Rohl.

“It’s a job Rohl would be interested in because of the situation at Wednesday, he’d take that opportunity to move away from it all.

“He’s done an impressive job there, so it comes as no surprise Leicester have looked at him.

“The manager has earnt himself an impressive reputation and might be ready for that step.

“They’ve overperformed a bit this season considering where they were expected to finish, he’s clearly a good manager, and it could be a move which suits them both.“

Wolves and Wrexham compete to sign Jamie Vardy:

Alongside the probable exit of Van Nistelrooy and the ongoing managerial search, Leicester have also been hit with the news that Jamie Vardy is departing the club.

Football Insider exclusively revealed Wolves are considering a move for Vardy as sources indicate he prefers to remain in the Premier League for the rest of his career.

Wolves are eager to bolster their squad with his experience and goal-scoring ability at Molineux this summer as they brace for the loss of key player Matheus Cunha.

Meanwhile, Brown told Football Insider that Wrexham will pursue a deal to sign Vardy and are ready to present a substantial offer to entice him to join.
