NafisaRangers supporters were given another major indication that the club are closing in on a new attacking signing after a familiar face was spotted inside Ibrox on Thursday night.
Derek McInnes’ side were in Europa League action against Jagiellonia Bialystok, with the Rangers manager desperately needing more creativity and attacking threat in his squad.
The Gers have been working on strengthening their wide areas for some time, and the latest development suggests that one particular deal could now be approaching its conclusion.
The player in question was reportedly watching proceedings from inside the stadium.
Rangers target spotted at Ibrox
PSV Eindhoven winger Couhaib Driouech was spotted at Ibrox during Rangers’ clash with Jagiellonia Bialystok.
The Moroccan attacker has emerged as one of Rangers’ leading targets as McInnes looks to add more pace and creativity to his forward line.
Rangers are expected to pay around £7million for the 24-year-old, with the transfer now seemingly moving towards its final stages.
His presence at Ibrox is naturally likely to increase speculation that an agreement is close.
Driouech has been heavily linked with a move to Glasgow, and Rangers have been pushing to get the deal completed despite interest from clubs elsewhere.
For supporters watching the Europa League tie, seeing the potential new signing inside the stadium was therefore a significant development.
McInnes admits Rangers need wingers
The move also comes at a time when McInnes has openly acknowledged that Rangers need more options in wide areas.
The Gers have lacked creativity during the early stages of the campaign, with the manager keen to add players capable of providing something different in the final third.

Driouech would certainly fit the profile.
The PSV winger is capable of operating from either flank but is particularly comfortable on the left, giving McInnes another option in an area where Rangers have been looking for greater quality.
At 24, he also has experience of playing at a high level while still having plenty of room to develop.
The reported £7million investment represents a significant commitment from Rangers, but the club’s willingness to spend underlines just how important attacking reinforcements have become.
And with Driouech now apparently watching Rangers from the stands at Ibrox, supporters may not have to wait much longer to see him wearing the famous blue shirt.
