Hibernian’s trip to Celtic Park has been rescheduled, with the Scottish Premiership meeting now set to take place on Sunday, December 13, at 3pm.

The fixture change gives supporters a confirmed date for one of Hibs’ key away assignments in the busy December schedule, with David Gray’s side preparing to travel to Glasgow for a meeting against the reigning Scottish heavyweights.

The match had already been moved before Hibs announced the latest change to their home fixture against Rangers, which has been switched to Monday, December 7, for live coverage on Sky Sports.

That means Hibs now face a demanding run of matches against both Old Firm clubs within the space of six days. Rangers will visit Easter Road on Monday evening before the Edinburgh side make the journey to Celtic Park the following Sunday.

For Hibs supporters, the revised schedule provides clarity over two major dates in the build-up to Christmas, although the short turnaround between the matches will make the period particularly important for Gray and his squad.

The Celtic clash will kick off at 3pm on Sunday, December 13, with the match forming part of a crucial stretch of Premiership action as clubs look to strengthen their league positions before the festive period.

Hibs have not yet provided further ticketing information for the Rangers fixture, and supporters should await official club announcements for any additional details relating to their December arrangements.

With the Celtic Park date now confirmed, Hibs can begin planning for a demanding away assignment against one of their biggest domestic opponents, following the visit of Rangers to Easter Road just six days earlier.
