SWEET NEWS — ‘I’m very open to the next step, I’m aiming for as high a level as possible because… — Celtic transfer target to replace Nicolas Kuhn has now said YES to Bhoys move, £6.5m move to Parkhead expected with offer made by Celts

Jakob Breum has unlocked the possibility of a transfer this summer, amid Celtic’s transfer pursuit.

The 21-year-old seems to be at the forefront of the Hoops’ agenda regarding acquiring a new winger.

Nicolas Kuhn was transferred to Como for a sum exceeding £17m earlier this summer, while Jota remains out of action until the end of the year, indicating it’s a position on the field that needs attention from Brendan Rodgers.

The Scottish Premiership champions have already had their offers of approximately £3m turned down by Go Ahead Eagles, with the Dutch team demanding closer to £6.5m.

Speaking prior to the summer window, the winger acknowledged he’s receptive to advancing his career sooner rather than later.

He recently told TV 2: “Of course I have ambitions to try myself at a higher level, but when that is, time will tell.

“I’m not just going to play a few good months and then take the next step. I can still develop even more here, so I’m not in a hurry to get away.

“I’m very open to the next step. It all depends on what offers come in.

“It’s not like I have certain leagues that I just have to go to.

“But of course I’m aiming for as high a level as possible because it’s the dream to play against the very best.”
