Leicester City will return to action following two consecutive wins this weekend, but as many as five adjustments are being requested in the starting XI.
City fans have been using LeicestershireLive’s team selector tool to voice their opinion on the lineup that should face Oxford at the Kassam Stadium this Saturday.
With no newcomers yet fielded this season, it’s perhaps unsurprising that they’re eager to see debuts for all three deadline-day signings.
That would see Jordan James slot into midfield in place of Oliver Skipp, while Aaron Ramsey would take over the attacking midfield role from Louis Page.
New forward Julian Carranza would spearhead the attack, with Jordan Ayew dropping out of the squad.
Ramsey is the most likely of the trio of new signings to feature, particularly with the Burnley loanee training under Marti Cifuentes this week as Page is away with the England Under-18s.
That may also benefit Carranza’s chances. He’s working at the club’s training ground while Ayew is away with Ghana.
It would be a strong vote of confidence in James if he were to start this weekend. The Rennes loanee is away with Wales and won’t have his first session under Cifuentes until the end of the week.
However, they’re not the only tweaks supporters are hoping for. After two appearances off the bench, fans are eager to see Ricardo Pereira make his first start of the season at right-back.
It’s a change that is entirely possible, with injury ruling Hamza Choudhury out of Bangladesh duty.
But if Choudhury is fit, the position could remain his. City have kept two clean sheets in their last two matches, with Choudhury performing admirably on the right side of defence.
Another alteration fans are seeking comes in midfield, which would result in a complete rotation of the central trio if their wishes are granted.
With Harry Winks remaining at the club after the transfer window closed, supporters want to see him replace Boubakary Soumare.
It’s not unrealistic, though Soumare has played every minute under Cifuentes so far, with the manager showing considerable trust in the Frenchman.
Elsewhere, fans are content with Jannik Vestergaard and Caleb Okoli as the centre-back pairing, with Luke Thomas on their left.
They’re also backing Stephy Mavididi to retain his spot ahead of Jeremy Monga on the left wing, with Abdul Fatawu starting on the right.
