Kris Boyd has handed Rangers a harsh reality check after their Scottish Cup defeat to Celtic at Ibrox.
In two matches within a week, Celtic have drawn with Rangers in the league and knocked them out of the Scottish Cup, and that could effectively bring an end to their hopes of lifting any silverware.
The best part? Celtic defeated Rangers on Sunday with seven first-team players absent, and that has led Boyd to deliver a brutal verdict on the Ibrox club that is 100% spot on.

When told that Celtic always seem to find a way to win, Boyd said on Go Ballistic, “I mean I think you’ve got to look at they never had not a shot on goal.
“You get to penalty kicks and people say it’s a lottery. It’s not. You’ve got to step up, be confident in your ability to go and finish the penalty kicks off.
“And then obviously depend on your goalkeeper to make some saves. But on the game, you look at Rangers, and they had the vast majority of the chances.
“All the chances really because Celtic never really had a shot on goal.”

And that has reinforced Boyd’s comments as the former Rangers striker complained, “But again, I’m in danger of repeating myself again. Rangers never finish anyone off. They never do. They never do it.
“They had a couple of opportunities again yesterday. Not clear-cut I may add, but they had opportunities when they get in the final third to make things happen.
“There was a couple of long throws into the box that asked questions of Celtic defensively, but you know, I think when you when you when you analyse the full game and look at Rangers, were pretty much at full strength.
“Celtic had a good seven or eight players missing and still can’t beat them. And as you say, Celtic find a way to get over the line.”
And that is the winning mentality that has seen Celtic dominate Scottish football this century, and it is likely, hopefully, going to carry them across the line this season, if they can overtake Hearts at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
