Unfortunately for the Leeds United faithful, they are likely to be proven mistaken after making a complete gamble of a signing that could seriously backfire.
Supporters of the storied Yorkshire side remain largely in the dark, despite all the accessible evidence and expert analysis, about their new defender. Evidently this is because the player in question possesses plenty of ‘experience’—even though much of that came as an underperforming Premier League full-back.

Adding to that troubling and significant concern, the former England international displayed limited proficiency for the Foxes, his previous club, over a three-year spell when he was inexplicably kept in the starting lineup by several unsuccessful Leicester City managers.
Before that, he was outstanding, to be fair. Clearly the fact that the footballer represented the Three Lions and was admired by steady and soon-to-retire then-head coach Gareth Southgate seems to carry unnecessary weight in football circles.
Therefore, if I were a Leeds supporter unaware of other clubs’ underwhelming professionals (heaven forbid) – I would probably view this as a promising and potentially dependable addition too.
Of course, my prediction could also turn out to be wrong eventually. Yet I am going by what I’ve observed, the numbers and Leicester’s defensive struggles when the newest Peacock was a Fox.
Thus United’s fans should brace themselves for let-downs regarding a fresh signing, as a completely bold claim is simultaneously made by Football League World.
Leeds United fans still in dark over new Leicester City signing James Justin amid bold claim:

After witnessing James Justin’s poor and borderline woeful defending for City, particularly in 2024/25, I’d suspect he will have difficulty at Leeds. The idea that James might somehow work his way back into the England squad is fanciful at best!
“If he can get regular game-time at Leeds, he could even find himself back in the reckoning for a place in the England squad.” – [FLW]
And the criticism their supporters will direct at Justin when he becomes a shrinking violet will be far harsher than at King Power Stadium.
