JUST NOW – Talks have continued between Leicester City and European club to seal agreement for signing of Top-class exceptional star

Talks remain ongoing between Leicester City and Crystal Palace over a deal for Bilal El Khannouss, with negotiations gathering pace despite an initial setback.

The Foxes saw their £20 million opening bid turned down, but there is optimism on both sides that an agreement can be struck in the region of £26–28 million. The structure of the deal is expected to include add-ons, with discussions also covering the possibility of a small sell-on clause in the region of five to ten percent.

Crystal Palace, who have been carefully exploring their options to keep the overall cost down, are understood to be weighing different payment structures. While they have been tentative in their approach so far, Palace are expected to make a stronger push later today in an attempt to move negotiations towards completion.

El Khannouss, 20, has been attracting Premier League interest following his rise with Genk and his growing profile on the international stage. Both clubs view him as a valuable addition, though Leicester appear determined to secure his signature before Palace can steal a march in the race.

With discussions intensifying, the next 24 hours could prove crucial in determining whether Leicester’s persistence pays off or if Palace find a way to close the gap and finalise terms for the highly rated midfielder.
