Leicester City have confirmed the development that striker Shana Chossenotte has signed for French Arkema Première Ligue side FC Fleury 91 on a permanent move.
WSL Full-Time were made aware of the switch through an official statement from The Foxes yesterday evening.
It is understood that the French outfit have paid an undisclosed sum to acquire the 20-year-old’s services.
Chossenotte arrived at Leicester City from Stade de Reims last summer. She penned a three-year contract at The King Power Stadium and reunited with former coach Amandine Miquel.
Chossenotte had been with Stade de Reims for seven years after joining the club’s academy structure back in 2017. The attacker progressed into the senior squad in 2021.
During her spell at Leicester City, Chossenotte featured in 21 matches across all competitions. She played a part in helping The Foxes achieve their highest-ever points total in the Barclays Women’s Super League last term. The French youth international’s minutes were restricted at times due to recurring injuries.
Chossenotte now links up with an FC Fleury 91 team that opened their new Arkema Première Ligue campaign with a win last weekend. They overcame Montpellier HSC 2-1 away from home. Chossenotte could make her FC Fleury 91 bow against Paris FC in their next outing.
