Oliver Glasner could be tempted to depart Crystal Palace at the end of the season following his public outburst aimed at the club’s hierarchy.
That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains strongly connected within the sport, as he exclusively told Football Insider that Glasner is clearly irritated with decisions made behind the scenes.
Crystal Palace were defeated 2-1 by Man United on Sunday, despite holding a 1-0 lead at the interval, and the strain of their European fixture calendar is now becoming evident.
Football Insider reported in August that Glasner had been left annoyed at Crystal Palace due to their sluggish start to the summer transfer window.
Those frustrations have now been aired once again by the Austrian, who insisted the club’s choice to save rather than spend has let him down alongside his players.

Brown told Football Insider in October that Glasner is unlikely to remain at Crystal Palace as the club have yet to demonstrate they can match his aspirations.
The former scout, who boasts extensive experience working with elite managers including Sir Alex Ferguson during more than a decade at Man United, stressed that Palace only have themselves to blame if the manager chooses to leave.
“Oliver Glasner isn’t happy, that’s becoming clear,” he told Football Insider.
“I think them qualifying for Europe has exposed some weaknesses, as we discussed previously we thought it might, because you need depth in your squad.
“Palace have looked at it and thought they could make-do with what they had, and it’s now proving not to be the case because the players look knackered.
“So I wasn’t surprised to hear Glasner saying the things he said after the Man United game.
“He’s directly criticising the owners and directors in public, and that’s never a good sign, so as things stand I think he’s going to walk away.
“I can see where he’s coming from, he’s clearly unhappy with the way things have gone and he doesn’t feel that the club are doing what they should be going to progress.
“His contract is up at the end of the year, and they haven’t shown they’re willing to match his ambitions and invest in the squad, so why would he want to stay?
“It’s a massive shame for Palace and for the fans, because this period has been a fantastic time for them, but it’s the club’s own fault if they’re not willing to back him.”

Football Insider revealed in September that Palace will attempt everything possible to retain Glasner at Selhurst Park despite reports of tension behind the scenes.

However, Football Insider reported on 30 September that Crystal Palace must match Glasner’s goals if they hope to persuade him to sign a new deal.
Glasner has previously expressed that he would like to strengthen his squad in January to allow greater rotation and enable him to rest vital players.
Following Palace’s 2-1 loss to Strasbourg and then to Man United, the manager reinforced his calls for the club to invest, with attacking reinforcements high on his list.
