It appears to me that fresh Foxes recruit Julian Carranza could soon be featured from the outset of Championship fixtures. The Argentine forward got on the end of, and probably should have converted, one opportunity that presented itself on Saturday afternoon against Coventry City.
Though his presence was more of a target point than current leading striker Jordan Ayew. Moreover, and despite the missed chance to score, Leicester’s Blue Army faithful must remain patient with Carranza in my view.
Analysts and pundits, alongside supporters like myself, are starting to question LCFC boss Marti Cifuentes’ call to deploy the Ghanaian international in the lone centre-forward slot.
Ayew doesn’t appear as seasoned, self-assured or seemingly capable as the No.9, despite being allowed to claim that shirt number for himself and lock down the position so far this campaign somehow.
But, if you ask me, a switch is on the horizon at City—possibly in multiple ways. Although here today, we are focusing on the East Midlanders’ frontline.
It is now likely that Ayew will be benched, or more probably shifted around for Leicester attacker Carranza to be brought in. With the newcomer primed, waiting and clearly desired by Leicester fans. Allow me to outline and explore the matter with you.
