The Foxes are anticipated to dip into the market for winter reinforcements. If you ask me, that is the smartest approach right now with promotion far from guaranteed or even realistically assured.
However, LCFC owners The King Power International Group are dealing with financial concerns both in England and back home in Thailand. A legal dispute involving the Premier League (along with the English Football League Championship body) is reportedly set to begin this week. As a result, City might be limited for the time being, or once the New Year arrives.
But that won’t prevent City from planning — or even attempting to bring in fresh signings if everything is permissible. With regard to areas of the squad that Marti Cifuentes may request upgrades for, reports indicate as many as five potential additions. Naturally, a newly-recruited striker remains the top priority for the Blue Army.
Patson Daka did, however, do something to ease that significant concern on Saturday afternoon against Stoke City. A defensive midfielder, a creator, left and right wide players and, ideally, a centre-forward are all rumoured targets for 2026. I suspect that this supposedly leaked shortlist is more aligned with summer business.
