Leicester have named Marti Cifuentes as their new manager.
The Spaniard has signed a three-year contract at the King Power Stadium.
Cifuentes takes over from Ruud van Nistelrooy in the dugout after his departure earlier this summer.
Van Nistelrooy split with the Foxes following their drop from the Premier League.
The team will now have a fresh leader for their Championship comeback this season.
Leicester kick off their campaign at home against Sheffield Wednesday on August 10.
Cifuentes joins after exiting Queens Park Rangers last month following 19 months at Loftus Road.
He had been placed on gardening leave by the Hoops before his departure was ultimately confirmed.
After steering QPR to safety during the 2023/24 season, Cifuentes was crucial to their 15th place finish last term.
The 43-year-old is expected to earn less with Leicester than he did at his previous club, talkSPORT understands.
Meanwhile, Cifuentes has also covered part of his own compensation package, valued at over £400,000, to facilitate the move.
Speaking after his appointment, he told the club website: “It’s a great honour to be appointed Leicester City Manager.
“This is a fantastic Club with a proud history and it’s a privilege to me to be asked to help write the next chapter.
“I’m looking forward to getting to know the players, as well as connecting with our supporters and the city in the weeks and months ahead.
“I can see the passion that exists here, and I’m excited to begin this journey together.”
Meanwhile, a statement from QPR read: “Cifuentes left QPR by mutual consent last month following a period of gardening leave.
“As part of the agreement, the club retained compensation rights for any future employment.
“This matter has now been concluded with Leicester City.”
Leicester supporters will have the opportunity to see Cifuentes in the dugout for the first time next month.
The Foxes host Fiorentina at the King Power Stadium on August 3 in their final pre-season friendly.
