Leicester City Football Club have pulled off some impressive business at the beginning of the new week. That’s something I haven’t been able to state too frequently in recent times. While the transfer window was active, the King Power International–run club unsettled their Blue Army supporters right up until deadline day.
However, during the final 24 hours, City did manage to clinch the third and then fourth additions of the summer they clearly, urgently needed.
Although, even that welcome surprise has been somewhat bittersweet, if I can use that expression. This was because Aaron Ramsey, who some like myself considered a potentially superb acquisition, got himself rather unforgivably dismissed early in his debut.
Though, to counter myself a bit, I do encourage the LCFC faithful to give the Burnley loanee another opportunity to impress and establish himself within the starting eleven once his suspension is served.
Yet the East Midlands side’s most notable dealings of the summer could be, remarkably, securing a duo of standout prospects to new contracts. First of all, Jeremy Monga was practically a footballing household name at just 15.
He signed a scholarship agreement which leads to a year-long first professional contract next year. Monga is said to have turned down Chelsea, Barcelona and Manchester City, along with Paris Saint-Germain.
But, finally, the Filbert Way outfit’s executives have locked down another rising star.

The club announced their excitement on the official website when confirming “talented midfielder” Louis Page initial pro deal. Marti Cifuentes rates the youngster as well, as he is heavily involved with the senior squad.
Due to rash Ramsey’s recklessness and Bilal El Khannouss’ humiliating departure, Page may find himself increasingly more crucial than first anticipated. He also reportedly has admirers. Details of the player’s agreement are below:
