Rangers have reportedly reached an agreement worth £4 million with RB Salzburg following Fabrizio Romano’s confirmation that Danny Rohl has agreed to become the Austrian club’s new manager.
The transfer expert revealed overnight that Rohl had reached a full agreement to take charge of Salzburg after productive negotiations between all parties.
The deal represents a major shift behind the scenes at Ibrox, with Rangers now set to receive a substantial compensation package for the German coach.
While supporters had expected Rohl to remain in charge heading into the upcoming season, Salzburg’s approach dramatically altered the situation over recent days.
Compensation package finalised
According to reports, Rangers will bank £4 million as part of the agreement that allows Rohl to leave for Austria.

Reports indicate that assistant manager Matthias Kaltenbach and first-team performance manager Sascha Lense are also preparing to leave Rangers.
Both men arrived as part of Rohl’s coaching team and have played important roles behind the scenes since their arrival at Ibrox.
Lense previously worked alongside Rohl at Sheffield Wednesday and also spent time within Ralf Rangnick’s coaching setup at Manchester United.
Kaltenbach, meanwhile, built an impressive reputation during his years at Hoffenheim before later joining Ajax as part of Alfred Schreuder’s staff.
Their expected departures further reinforce the belief that Salzburg are not only acquiring a manager but also much of the coaching structure that worked alongside him.

While losing a manager so close to the start of a new season is rarely ideal, Rangers appear determined to move quickly and ensure disruption is kept to a minimum.
