Celtic ‘are ‘set to secure’ his Top talented winger with pace, agility and dribbling for €3m — The Scottish champions have already moved quickly to push the deal over the line

Celtic have confirmed the appointment of Martin O’Neill as their manager until the conclusion of the current season, following the departure of Wilfried Nancy.

The coaching reshuffle on Monday has not slowed the Bhoys’ efforts as they continue to explore possible additions during the January transfer window.

Celtic have earmarked Hapoel Petah Tikva winger Jocelin Ta Bi as a potential signing. The wide man has found the net twice and provided two assists in 12 appearances this campaign.

According to Foot Mercato, the 20-year-old has stood out thanks to his pace, agility and dribbling ability, attracting interest from several European sides including Celtic, Stade de Reims, Charleroi and Trabzonspor.

Celtic are currently leading the race to lure the Ivorian to Celtic Park this month, with the report stating they are ‘set to secure’ his services for €3m. The Hoops have also been boosted by claims from Foot Mercato that Ta Bi prefers a switch to Celtic Park, which further strengthens their position.

The Scottish champions have already moved quickly to push the deal over the line. Their medical team have travelled to Israel to conduct the forward’s medical checks. Provided there are no complications, Ta Bi is expected to put pen to paper on a deal running until 2030.

Stade de Reims, Charleroi and Trabzonspor may now be forced to turn their attention elsewhere as they look to bolster their attacking options this January. Celtic look set to come out on top.
