That achievement has shifted the mood entirely. Instead of survival concerns, the focus is now on progression, squad refinement, and pushing the ceiling higher under Daniel Farke. The manager is believed to be pushing for more quality additions, specifically players capable of influencing matches immediately rather than long-term developmental projects.
At the same time, squad reshaping also means difficult decisions on outgoing players, and one of Leeds’ most recognisable promotion contributors now looks increasingly likely to be heading for the exit door.
Leeds name asking price for Joel Piroe:
Joel Piroe lit up the Championship in the 2024/25 season, finishing as the division’s leading scorer as his goals played a crucial role in Leeds United’s promotion back to the Premier League.
However, his involvement dropped sharply once the step up in quality was made, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Lukas Nmecha and Noah Okafor all moving ahead of him in the pecking order.
From being a central attacking figure, he gradually slipped down the hierarchy and ultimately found himself operating as fourth-choice striker during parts of the campaign. Although January interest surfaced, he remained at Elland Road for the remainder of the season.
Now, though, a summer departure is increasingly being viewed as the most likely outcome, especially with Leeds planning further attacking reinforcements ahead of the new season.
According to TeamTalk, the club have already set their valuation for the forward and are prepared to sanction an exit under the right conditions.
It has been reported that Leeds would be willing to consider bids in the £8m to £10m range, effectively signalling their readiness to part ways if a suitable offer arrives.
While Piroe remains a proven goalscorer at Championship level, there is a growing acceptance internally that his game may not fully translate to consistent Premier League success.
Interest has already begun to emerge, with Rangers among the clubs linked, while Middlesbrough are also monitoring a striker who has repeatedly delivered in the second tier of English football.
