Oliver Glasner has indicated that Ismaila Sarr may not feature again before departing for the Africa Cup of Nations after picking up an ankle issue during Crystal Palace’s 2-1 loss to Manchester United.
Sarr was taken off in the 38th minute following a strong challenge from Diogo Dalot and was substituted by Eddie Nketiah.
The 27-year-old is hoping to appear for Senegal at next month’s competition, but his participation is now in some uncertainty.

“We all have to assess him further but the ankle is quite swollen, so I think he will miss a few games,” Glasner said.
“Maybe we won’t see him again before the Afcon.”
Palace lost their threat on the break after Sarr’s exit and United pushed on to complete an eye-catching second-half turnaround.
The Eagles had no reply to United as they faded in the latter stages, with Glasner’s changes struggling to influence the match.
Nketiah wasted a huge chance, hesitating with his effort inside the box and allowing Luke Shaw to get back with a superb sliding intervention.
And Glasner lamented his squad’s limited depth.
