Leicester City boss Marti Cifuentes has officially addressed speculation over his future at the club following the growing unrest among supporters after the disappointing defeat at Millwall.
The Foxes’ form has nosedived in recent weeks, sparking debate among fans over whether a managerial change is needed — but Cifuentes has now made his stance clear.
The Spaniard, who has overseen just one win in the last eight games, insists he remains fully committed to the job and has no intention of walking away despite the mounting pressure.
“Well, it’s clear that we need to be at the top of our game in every single match this season. The competition is tough, and we have to be ready for anything,” Cifuentes said.
He admitted recent results have fallen short of expectations, acknowledging that his team has failed to capitalise on key moments since returning from the international break.
“Since the international break, we’ve only managed to get one point from nine, which is not what we aimed for,” he continued. “But I believe that with time, we will get things right. It’s a process, and we are working hard on it.”
Cifuentes’ message comes amid calls from sections of the fanbase for change, with some pointing to the club’s pattern of frequent managerial shifts in recent years. The Foxes have already had five permanent managers since 2023 — a cycle many supporters fear is harming long-term stability.

Leicester’s hierarchy is understood to still back the former QPR boss, viewing him as the right man to lead the club’s rebuild. His insistence on a long-term approach suggests he has no plans to quit — instead urging fans to stay patient as the project takes shape.
“Every match is an opportunity to show what we are capable of. We will keep fighting,” he concluded.
