Choudhury, who has spent his entire career with Leicester apart from loan stints at Burton Albion and Watford, has struggled for game time this season, making just one Premier League start.
According to The Star, Blades boss Chris Wilder has identified the former England Under-21 international—now representing Bangladesh—as a key target to strengthen his midfield options during the January transfer window. Choudhury’s experience, including a Championship title win with Leicester last season, makes him an appealing candidate for Wilder’s promotion-chasing squad.
The potential arrival of Choudhury would provide much-needed depth following the injury to Oliver Arblaster, who has been ruled out for the long term. Although Sydie Peck has stepped up admirably in Arblaster’s absence, Wilder is keen to add reinforcements to maintain their momentum in the race for promotion.
In addition to Choudhury, Sheffield United have also been linked with Liverpool’s Tyler Morton. The young midfielder has impressed in previous Championship loan spells with Blackburn Rovers and Hull City.
The Blades currently sit third in the Championship table, trailing Leeds United and Burnley, and are looking to bolster their squad for the final push.
