Leicester City experienced a hectic summer in the transfer market.
Sixteen players departed the King Power Stadium, including Mads Hermansen to West Ham United and Bilal El Khannouss to Stuttgart.
Marti Cifuentes managed to recruit five new faces, replacing Jamie Vardy with Julian Carranza, arranging loan moves for Jordan James and Aaron Ramsey, and adding two goalkeepers on free transfers.
With the Turkish Super Lig’s transfer window closing on Friday 12 September, there remains a chance for some players to head for the exit, including Wout Faes.
Leicester City unlikely to lose trio of players:
EFL Analysis have been informed by chief transfer specialist Graeme Bailey that the likelihood of Victor Kristiansen, Wout Faes and Patson Daka leaving is very low.
Leicester turned down offers for Daka earlier in the window, while Faes was advised to move on by Belgium boss Rudi Garcia.
Kristiansen is regarded as the Foxes’ most valuable asset in the squad, yet it appears all three will remain.
Bailey added: “I think at the end of the day it’s looking unlikely at this point for any of those three to get out, despite Leicester hoping to do business. It’s looking tough.
“I think it’ll be very difficult for them to get any of them out at this point. It’s bad news for everyone in a way, but there is obviously a situation where any of those three could play a role in the Championship.”
Can the Leicester trio contribute?
It appears that only two of the three have a realistic chance of featuring in the Foxes’ push for a Premier League return.
Faes and Daka have both appeared so far this campaign, with the former netting a header against Sheffield Wednesday.
By contrast, Kristiansen has yet to feature under Cifuentes and hasn’t even been named in a matchday squad.
His future remains uncertain and, for now, he is likely to stay on the sidelines until January.
