According to a report by CaughtOffside, the Austrian manager is the name most frequently mentioned in discussions at Old Trafford as a potential replacement, and it’s understood that he would be thrilled at the prospect of joining Man Utd.
The former Frankfurt manager has been outstanding since succeeding Roy Hodgson in 2024, guiding the Eagles to a remarkable FA Cup triumph last season: the first major trophy in their history.
Glasner also employs a 3-4-3 system in south London, which could facilitate a smoother transition for the Man Utd squad, especially since over £220m has been invested in the past two transfer windows to reshape the team.
Patrick Dorgu, Diego Leon, Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko have all joined since Amorim became manager, and they could seamlessly fit into Glasner’s formation without requiring additional spending in such a short timeframe.
