Miquel was appointed by Leicester at the start of last season, yet she was unable to enhance the club’s standing.
The Foxes have placed 10th in the WSL for each of the last three campaigns.
With the season just 11 days from starting, Leicester City are likely to commence their campaign without a manager at the helm.
Although Miquel struggled to significantly impact the Foxes in 2024/25, their 20 points marked an improvement over the previous season’s total of 18.
Miquel previously managed French club Reims for seven years before joining the WSL team on a three-year deal in England.
It remains unclear where Miquel will coach next season, but the French manager might be poised for a return to her homeland after just one year in England.
Leicester have yet to issue a statement regarding the manager’s dismissal.

With the WSL expanding to 14 teams from 2026/27, only one team will be relegated next season. The team finishing at the bottom of the top tier will face a playoff against the third-placed team in WSL2 for a chance to remain in the WSL.
Leicester City will take on London City Lionesses in their final pre-season match on Friday.
The Foxes then head to Manchester for their season opener against United on Sunday, September 7th.
