Hearts are edging closer to securing a deal for former Celtic academy graduate Calvin Miller, despite earlier claims that the Hoops could reignite their interest this summer.
Miller has successfully revived his career in impressive fashion since departing Celtic, emerging as one of the standout figures in Falkirk’s climb through the divisions.
Beginning in League One, the winger was instrumental in back-to-back promotions before playing a key part in Falkirk’s top-six Premiership finish during their first campaign back in the top flight.
His displays have drawn increasing interest across Scottish football.
Celtic were heavily linked with Miller during the January transfer window, with reports indicating the Hoops were weighing up a potential approach despite Falkirk publicly trying to downplay the speculation at the time.
Journalist Robert Grieve later maintained that Celtic’s interest had been legitimate.
Now however, it seems Hearts have acted decisively before Celtic seriously re-entered the race.

Miller enjoyed what was arguably the finest season of his career last campaign, netting nine goals and providing 11 assists in all competitions as Falkirk comfortably consolidated their place back in the Premiership.
For Hearts, the move would mark another impressive piece of business after their title push under Derek McInnes ultimately came up short against Celtic on the final day.
