PERSONAL TERMS AGREED — Leicester City set to complete transfer move for Top-class 24-year old star who has given his availability to Join for a 5-year contract worth €1.8-2M/year – Deal is said to likely be sealed in the region of €25million

AC Milan are preparing to meet Leicester City to negotiate a potential deal for centre-back Caleb Okoli, according to renowned transfer journalist Nicolò Schira.

The 23-year-old has already agreed personal terms for a move to Milan—signing a contract that would run until 2030, with an annual salary reported between €1.8 million and €2 million.

Okoli, an Italian-born centre-back of Nigerian descent, made the switch from Atalanta to Leicester City in summer 2024, signing a five-year contract.

While exact financial details were not disclosed, reports suggest the transfer fee was close to €15 million. Now, Milan are reportedly eyeing Okoli as a cost-effective defensive reinforcement, likely aiming to offer around €25 million—which would give Leicester a significant profit.

If the two clubs can agree on a fee, the next steps would be swift. Okoli would be expected to travel for his medical, complete the necessary formalities, and be unveiled as Milan’s latest signing.

However, with the transfer window still open, other clubs could yet enter the race, meaning timing will be crucial if Milan want to secure their target without complications.

Would Okoli be Thiaw’s successor at Milan?
Not according to journalist Alessandro Jacobone: “This would be a complementary deal, so don’t consider him a direct replacement for Thiaw.”

If the German were to be replaced, the main names would be two: “Leoni and Comuzzo remain at the top of the priority list, in that exact order of preference.”
