NafisaWolverhampton Wanderers have finalized a deal with Celta Vigo to acquire midfielder Fer Lopez, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.
The Midlands team had a solid second half of the Premier League campaign, steering clear of relegation and ultimately securing 16th place.
Vitor Pereira’s squad is now gearing up for an active summer transfer period after losing key players Rayan Ait-Nouri and Matheus Cunha, and they are poised to welcome a new addition to Molineux in the form of the Spaniard.

According to the trusted Romano, Wolves have secured a deal valued at £21.3m, including bonuses, for Lopez, who has been labeled a ‘unicorn’ for his unique skillset as an attacker.
The 21-year-old was scheduled to complete a medical at Molineux on Wednesday, having already settled personal terms over the weekend to advance the transfer.
Lopez had a €40m release clause in his contract with the La Liga side, but Wolves have negotiated a deal for considerably less, aiming to capitalize on his immense potential and focus on nurturing him into the elite attacker many believe he could become.
Wolves have leveraged their connection with super-agent Jorge Mendes to finalize the transfer, and Lopez is viewed as a player who could start to fill the gap left by Brazil star Cunha’s move to Manchester United earlier in the window.
Youngster Lopez enjoyed a breakout season in La Liga in 2024/25, featuring in 17 matches, including seven starts, for the Spanish club, and scoring two goals.
The club is also exploring options to bolster other positions, with OGC Nice striker Evann Guessand emerging as a target, as reports indicate a £25m bid has been submitted for the Ivorian.
