The Old Gold are undergoing a reconstruction in Vitor Pereira’s initial summer transfer period at Molineux and are preparing for a tough season without the goals and flair of Matheus Cunha, who was a vital component in the West Midlands team’s survival effort last term.
Cunha only signed a contract extension to remain with the club in January but has since departed to join Manchester United after a £62.5m release clause in his agreement was triggered by the Old Trafford outfit.
This represents a major setback to the team’s offensive production, with left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri also moving to Manchester City, but it does provide Pereira with ample flexibility in the transfer market—both in terms of attacking signings and potentially other positions on the field.

Wolves are planning a transfer for highly-rated forward Rafiu Durosinmi, according to reports from Football Insider. The 22-year-old is currently shining for Czech club Viktoria Plzen but is likely to switch to one of Europe’s top five leagues this summer following interest during the winter window.
The Lagos-born attacker scored nine goals and provided four assists in 22 appearances last season, with two of those notably coming in the Europa League as the team failed to secure a spot in the knockout rounds after a loss in the round-of-16 play-offs.
He missed significant portions of last season due to a knee injury but is rapidly emerging as one of the standout forwards in Czech football after a robust finish to the campaign.
Wolves have reportedly been monitoring the 6ft 4in striker since the January transfer window when they made an unsuccessful bid to sign him. However, they are now believed to be in a leading position to finalize the deal as Durosinmi nears the final year of his contract at the Doosan Arena.
