Jamie Vardy to Celtic —Hoops told Vardy’s DECISION on joining Celtic over Rangers to play for his former Manager Brendan Rodgers

Even though club football in England (and Scotland) has paused for the summer, there’s still plenty of Leicester City news and transfer chatter for us to dive into.

Today (Monday, June 2), we’ve already looked into potential replacements for Leicester icon Jamie Vardy. That piece touched on the time when the ex-Fleetwood Town striker first arrived at the East Midlands side and how his early impressions among teammates were less than convincing.

We’ve also discussed the clubs that Leicester fans would least want to see the former England star join. That was a particularly intriguing read.

Another topic explored by Foxes of Leicester was Wes Morgan’s unexpected involvement with a King Power competitor. Numerous other features are set to follow over the coming weeks and months as FoL significantly ramps up coverage.

So stay tuned, as this is undoubtedly a crucial and defining offseason for the Foxes. They should dismiss Ruud van Nistelrooy due to his lack of managerial experience—especially within the English lower divisions, in my view.

The LCFC decision-makers must then select the right individual to steer the squad forward. It’s a tricky assignment that’s more complicated than it looks.

After that—or even concurrently—the Leicester squad will need a considerable overhaul. Ten surplus players were let go alongside Vardy, for example. Replacements are required, along with fresh talent to strengthen the group.

But putting Foxes-related dealings to the side for a moment, many supporters are eager to find out where their revered former striker might end up next. Could the Scottish Premiership be his next stop? Here’s the latest buzz.

Rangers and Celtic transfer updates for ex-Leicester City star Jamie Vardy
“But it appears Rangers could be most serious about trying to lure the frontman north of the border.” — Leicestershire Live.

Both Glasgow giants are reportedly eyeing a move for Vardy on a free transfer. However, Rangers appear to have the upper hand over arch-rivals Celtic in the chase.

“Jamie Vardy is weighing up a Rangers move which could offer him a Champions League return. It would represent a first chance of playing in European football’s top club competition since 2016-17, when he took part for Leicester City. It wouldn’t be the first time Rangers have explored a move for Vardy. Their former manager Ally McCoist claimed in 2022 that they pushed for the striker when he was still at Fleetwood Town, only to be priced out of a move.” —Mirror.

Champions League action awaits north of the border. Because of that, Vards is reportedly considering a switch to Ibrox. I can see him flourishing in such a passionate setting.
