Done Deal, Announcement Imminent —World-class 26-year old sensation completes his medical tests at Brentford today after €21m package deal agreed with European giants to seal move to Gtech Community Stadium

Caoimhín Kelleher has completed his medical at Brentford ahead of a transfer from Liverpool, with the deal reportedly valued at up to £18 million. The agreement includes an initial payment of £12.5 million, with additional performance-based add-ons.

With the 26-year-old set for a fresh chapter in west London, Liverpool are poised to bring in Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili as his successor.

The Georgian international is expected to join up with new manager Arne Slot ahead of the upcoming campaign, following a deal agreed last year.

Kelleher’s move to Brentford coincides with their current goalkeeper, Mark Flekken, reportedly nearing a £9 million transfer to Bundesliga title-winners Bayer Leverkusen.

Kelleher’s move comes as he seeks regular first-team football, having served as a backup to Alisson Becker at Liverpool. With the arrival of Giorgi Mamardashvili at Liverpool, Kelleher’s opportunities were further limited, prompting his decision to pursue a starting role elsewhere.

The transfer is expected to be finalized shortly, providing Kelleher with the platform to establish himself as a first-choice goalkeeper in the Premier League.
