SPOTTED —Kalvin Phillips return to Leeds United could now seem like a Done Deal after what he was recently seen doing in West Yorkshire

Leeds United’s transfer activity is beginning to gather pace, with several players being linked with a switch to Elland Road.

Daniel Farke has wasted little time in identifying potential signings this summer as he looks to secure Premier League survival.

Leeds have been heavily associated with a move for Middlesbrough’s Finn Azaz, who caught the eye in the Championship.

However, Farke is also aiming to bring in more top-flight experience to strengthen his squad.

Kalvin Phillips has been mentioned in connection with a potential return to Leeds United in recent weeks following their promotion back to the Premier League.

The Peacocks academy product has been with Manchester City since 2022 but has found it difficult to secure regular playing time.

After an unsuccessful loan stint at Ipswich Town, speculation has grown that he could be heading back to Elland Road this summer.

Now, the rumours have intensified after he was seen alongside Luke Ayling and Patrick Bamford at Temple Newsam.

On Instagram (May 31), Phillips shared a story of the trio enjoying Kaizer Chiefs’ performance of ‘I Predict A Riot’, with Bamford even taking the stage with the band.

The City midfielder posted a video of the striker with the caption: “What an absolute legend!” and tagged both Ayling and Bamford.

While supporters will continue to debate whether Phillips is the right fit to rejoin the Peacocks, should the transfer happen, it would likely be a smooth reintroduction for the midfielder.

It’s evident that the 29-year-old remains on excellent terms with the squad, with many familiar faces still at the club.

As such, it’s unlikely Phillips would need time to reacclimate, as he’d essentially be returning to a familiar environment.

This is probably a significant factor for Farke as he looks to get his team ready for the Premier League challenge without delay.
