OFFICIAL —Brentford confirm TWO Veteran stars including fan favourite will LEAVE the club at the end of June

Ben Winterbottom and Ben Mee will depart Brentford once their current deals run out at the end of June; Josh Dasilva will continue his rehabilitation from a knee issue with the Bees during the off-season.

Josh Dasilva remains under contract until 30 June but will persist with his recovery at the Robert Rowan Performance Centre throughout the summer.

He last appeared for the Bees on 31 January 2024 after sustaining a serious knee problem during training, which required surgery the following month. Further information on the midfielder will be shared in due course.

Mee made 67 appearances and netted five goals after signing with the Bees on a free deal in July 2022.

During his debut season at the club, he missed only one match as the west London outfit finished the Premier League campaign in ninth place. He was voted Brentford Supporters’ 2022/23 Player of the Year for his standout displays.

The ex-Burnley centre-back featured 18 times last season and scored in wins over Luton Town and Nottingham Forest, before adding 11 more appearances this term, starting in every Carabao Cup tie.

Winterbottom arrived at Brentford B from Liverpool in January 2021 and frequently trained with the senior squad, before earning a permanent promotion last summer.

The goalkeeper spent part of the 2023/24 campaign on loan at National League South side Welling United, recording two clean sheets across 14 outings.

He also played in the National League for Fylde this season, making 41 appearances and registering six shutouts, though the Coasters were ultimately relegated.

Mads Roerslev (Wolfsburg), Frank Onyeka (Augsburg), Myles Peart-Harris (Swansea City), Matthew Cox (Crawley Town), Jayden Meghoma (Preston North End), Ellery Balcombe (Motherwell), and Ryan Trevitt (Exeter City) have all returned to Brentford from their respective loan stints.

B-team players Michael Olakigbe (Chesterfield Town), Tony Yogane (Exeter), Ashley Hay and Val Adedokun (both at Cheltenham Town) have also returned to west London following the conclusion of their loan periods.
