Seconds later, Robertson officially confirms the decision by saying:
“Confirming the match is finished.”
The SFA then backed the officials completely in a lengthy statement released shortly after the footage surfaced.
The governing body stated:
“It was made clear at that meeting that the match official, Don Robertson, took the correct action in ending the game.”
The statement also clarified that the match had already passed the minimum eight minutes of added time before Robertson formally ended proceedings amid the invasion.
