Celtic sends classy heartwarming message to Ange Postecoglu after he won the Europa League with Tottenham

Celtic have issued a gracious message to Ange Postecoglou following his Europa League triumph with Tottenham Hotspur this evening.

The North London side overcame fellow Premier League rivals Manchester United by a single goal, with Welsh forward Brennan Johnson’s first-half finish proving decisive.

The win ended Spurs’ 17-year wait for silverware and marked Postecoglou as the first coach to secure a European title after departing Celtic.

The Parkhead side have since acknowledged his achievement, posting a congratulatory message on X:

Tonight’s success means Tottenham will feature in the UEFA Super Cup final, where they will meet the winner of the Champions League final, scheduled for next Saturday between Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan.

The Super Cup clash is set for Wednesday, August 13, at the Stadio Friuli, home ground of Serie A side Udinese.

With his team’s triumph tonight, Postecoglou has become the first manager to lift a European trophy after parting ways with Celtic.

The 59-year-old enjoyed two prosperous seasons in Glasgow’s east end, capturing five major domestic titles out of a possible six, including a treble in his second season in charge.
