Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter accounted for 49 goals between them, with the entire squad contributing 81 in total. This campaign, the Whites hit 95 goals even after selling both players.
Still, there are reasonable concerns about the frontline heading into the Premier League. Joel Piroe is expected to be the club’s main striker next term, but questions linger around how well he’ll transition to the top tier.

His backup options haven’t sparked much confidence either. Patrick Bamford and Mateo Joseph filled in during Piroe’s absence, yet only managed three goals between them. It’s clear why the club are actively pursuing a top-level forward.
Leeds have recently been associated with a possible move for Jamie Vardy. The Leicester City veteran will be out of contract this summer and is reportedly open to a new challenge. In a recent interview, he expressed strong belief in his ability to still deliver at Premier League level at age 38, as he eyes a new opportunity:
“Yeah, 100%. But again, football’s a crazy world. So you never know what’s going to happen. I’m always excited for what comes next. I’ve always said I’ll keep going until my legs literally tell me, no, you need to stop, we’re done. And my legs are fine.”
Could Leeds land Jamie Vardy?
The club have held talks, but nothing concrete appears to be in place yet. With suggestions that Vardy might accept lower wages to remain in the Premier League, Leeds United may need to move quickly. While his age may raise eyebrows, his return of eight goals this season is still impressive.
Bringing in a player of that calibre would significantly bolster any attack.
